Moving in/out procedures
If you're new to Hong Kong
Movers
You need to get the license plate of your mover and fill out an application form for free parking from your concierge.
You get 2 hours free if you are moving in/out of Park Island from somewhere else and 4 hours if you are moving within Park Island.
The mover will first pay at the gate and then after your move, can go to management office to be reimbursed.

Smart card + Octopus applications
Park Island Smart card: This is the ID you will need to get into the clubhouses, through the gates and your block entry.
Get the form from your concierge and then bring it filled out to the management office (top of the bus terminal escalators) with your HKIDs, your and your family's individual photo prints (doesn't have to be official photo ID), your tenancy/ownership agreement, and $30 + $10 for each additional person.
Octopus card: Get the form from your concierge and bring it filled out with your Octopus card numbers (you don't need the cards with you, just the numbers) with your tenancy/ownership agreement to the management office. They will inspect it and give it the official chop. THEN bring the form to the PI transportation office (on the 2/F next to the ferry entrance, along with $20 for each card for processing fees.

Shell Gas: You can't get e-bills or check online (boo...) but you CAN report meter online. You can also call it in with the telephone number on your bill. Our meter was in the cupboard above the fridge. You can do the final meter reading yourself.
To close account:
Call ahead to get an appointment, 2435 8388 and check their hours. They will send someone to inspect and remove your meter. To get your refund back, you need the blue slip (so keep the slip when you move in!!). If you don't have the deposit slip, you can have a copy of the HKID of the account holder. Refund by cheque in mail to new address within 2 weeks.

You can drop of the forms and show your documents at their showroom in Kwai Fong, 806-807 Metroplaza Tower 2.
Bring: HK ID card, your tenancy agreement/proof of purchase, $500 + $200 (refundable deposit + opening fee).
CLP POWER: You can apply for e-bills to save paper and reduce spam. You can close and open etc all online (yay!)
WATER (WSD): You can apply for e-bills to save paper and reduce spam.
When you are moving out, the WSD asks you to take a final meter reading:

You need to ask the management office (tel: 2986 3800) to take the water meter no. and reading for you. They will ask you your block and flat number and also the account holder's name.
